Kolkata, 6 july, 2018 : Travel and Tourism Tair (TTF), the oldest and one of the biggest travel trade shows in India which organised In the city in 1989 started its 30 edition today.
More than 430 exhibitors from 28 Indian states and 13 countries have assembled on the fully packed show floors of Netaji Indoor Stadium and the adjacent Khudiram anushilan Kendra , from 6 to 8 July ( Friday to Sunday ) .
Thousands of travel trade members visit the show in the first one and half day reserved for the trade. An even larger number of travel hungry people of Kolkata and nearby places will visit the show in the remaining one and a half day of the show, on the weekend, to plan their next puja vacations.
TTF Kolkata has been always receiving large number of buyer and sellers from Bangladesh and Nepal in the vicinity. Thailand and UAE also have excellent flight connection from Kolkata, and are participating in the show. Sri Lanka and Macao have joined TTF in recent year and are continuing this year as well. Other countries represented in the exhibition are Bhutan , China , Finland , Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam.
Among Indian states, Uttarakhand has the largest pavilion, followed by Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal , Rajasthan , Odisha, Goa, Gujarat and Kerala who have set up largest state pavilions, with their private operators. Andhra Pradesh, Karnatak , Jammu & Kashmir , Tamil Nadu , Bihar , Madhya Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar , Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim have also set up State Pavilions, to lure tourist to their states.
